We have large,
beautiful, bright and colourful learning rooms, which are full of interesting
things that stimulate learning and imagination. We like to include natural
objects for your children to explore like plants, trees, sand and shells etc. Music and
singing are a key part to how we help the children learn English so we have a
number of interesting musical instruments and songs for the children to
practice with. We have lots of large spaces for gym, as well as quiet spaces
for library and listening time. We also have computer access for the
children.
We have a huge outdoor space with lots of room to run and run! We
like to use bikes, scooters, prams, balls and gymnastic equipment as well as
using everyday objects like boxes, nets, trees, fabric and ribbon to help
children learn balance and co-ordination.
We are hoping to plant and grow a
garden with the children this summer too with vegetables and flowers! We
understand that children learn in different ways at different paces so we make
sure there are kinaesthetic, auditory and visual leaning opportunities in our
School, inside and outside. We structure the classroom so
children can collaborate and make choices and move in and out of different
social settings, we are aware of how important a child’s—and our
own—social-emotional development is. We know that the child who
finds meaning and a sense of belonging in school now, is more likely to make
healthy choices and to stay in school later. |
