Relationships and
trust are extremely important here at our school. We pride ourselves on
our unique family style environment. We like to think it of as a ‘home from
home’ for your children as well as somewhere where they will learn a fantastic
foundation for life skills, not to mention a superb understanding of the
English language.
The curriculum in taught in the English Language with added
Spanish language lessons for the children. Your child will spend about 95% of
their day immersed in the English Language. If you child is an English
Speaker already then we can support them individually with more Spanish
lessons and we have seen that these children learn other languages very
quickly from their peers.
We aim to provide each child with a holistic learning
experience which means they will be exploring and investigating numbers,
language and letters, music, art, reading, role-play, science, cooking,
gardening, helping others, going on trips to the farm, library and park
regularly, creating art work, dancing, singing, practicing balance and
co-ordination skills all of which are essential for the young mind to function
to it’s full potential. We constantly observe and assess each child in an
unobtrusive manner so that we can better plan for their future learning. It
is important that we provide challenging activities and help each child become
independent and life long learners with happy faces! |
